Compensation: $21.00 – $30.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00am–7:30pm

The Float Coordinator plays a pivotal cross-departmental role, ensuring seamless daily operations and continuity of care across Emergency, Critical Care (ECC), and all specialty departments. This position acts as a liaison between Client Service Representatives (CSRs), doctors, patient care teams, and clients to promote efficient workflows, compassionate communication, and a positive experience for every patient and family.

Key Points for Our Veterinary Coordinator:
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients across ECC and specialty services
Triage and respond to calls, emails, and messages with timely, compassionate communication
Explain consult expectations, anesthesia prep, hospitalization logistics, and recheck plans
Schedule consultations, diagnostics, procedures, and patient drop-offs in EzyVet
Obtain and organize medical records, imaging, lab results, prescriptions, and documentation
Prep charts and facilitate interdepartmental transfers for hospitalized or referred patients
Assist with estimates, consent forms, discharges, checkouts, and payment processing
Verify invoices and ensure accurate charge capture prior to discharge
Float between departments and collaborate with CSRs, doctors, ECC, and referring veterinarians
Proactively adjust scheduling and communication to support efficient, high-volume workflows
About You:
RVT or experienced Veterinary Assistant required
Minimum 2 years veterinary clinical experience (emergency or specialty preferred)
Minimum 2 years client service or administrative experience in a high-volume setting
Skilled communicator with strong medical terminology knowledge
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a dynamic environment
Positive, flexible, team-oriented, and solutions-focused attitude
Proficiency in EzyVet, SmartFlow, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook (preferred)
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required; multilingual skills a plus
