Veterinary Surgery Liaison needed for busy surgery department in a 24/7/365 multi-specialty veterinary hospital in sunny San Diego.  Work alongside with our board certified surgeons and experienced surgery technicians and expand your knowledge/expertise in a high quality environment.  This position offers the opportunity for growth within the surgery service and we are willing to train motivated candidates.

SUMMARY: The Surgery Liaison is expected to provide exceptional client service. They are the primary client contact for the Surgery department and their purpose is to facilitate efficient and timely communication between clients and the clinical teams. Liaisons are relied on by our team members to assist in the daily operation of the hospital and must possess a strong desire to provide service in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls, managing messages, responding to client questions about procedures, pre-op and post-op care, medications, rechecks, etc.
  • Schedule appointments accurately
  • Efficiently manage the department emails and calls
  • Managing patient records for rDVM’s and managing patient profiles in EzyVet
  • Preparing and updating financial estimates, and reviewing estimates with clients as needed
  • Serve as primary contact for clients and Client Care teams
  • Assist the surgery team as needed (VA experience a plus)

Shifts: 4/10 hour shifts.  Part time shift may be available.  Days to be determined but MUST be available to work weekends.

The pay range for this position is $18.00-22.00 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a progressive veterinary hospital required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Detail oriented with good organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to navigate efficiently through client emails and calls
  • Able to work independently in the absence of direct supervision and carry out specific tasks
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment demonstrating friendly, respectful, courteous and professional demeanor at all times
  • Able work in high stress situations and exercise good judgment as needed.
  • Cultivate a positive atmosphere, demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude with all co-workers throughout the hospital in order to maintain a cohesive work environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to modify work schedule according to the needs of the organization.
