$32.00–$42.00/hour DOE + $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

SAGE Concord is hiring a California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Specialty Surgery team.
Work alongside board-certified surgeons while providing advanced anesthesia and perioperative nursing care for soft tissue, orthopedic, neurologic, and emergency surgical cases. This is an opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Technician who wants to fully utilize their anesthesia and surgical nursing skills in a fast-paced Specialty & Emergency hospital.
Current California RVT license required.
What You Bring
- Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
- Veterinary Surgery experience required; Specialty hospital experience preferred.
- Strong anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery skills.
- Knowledge of surgical nursing, aseptic technique, instrumentation, and perioperative patient care.
- Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, fluid therapy, CRIs, and drug calculations.
- Experience supporting orthopedic, soft tissue, neurologic, emergency, or other advanced surgical procedures preferred.
- Strong patient monitoring, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
In Your Day-to-Day, You Will
- Prepare patients, surgical suites, equipment, and instruments for Specialty Surgery procedures.
- Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia.
- Assist board-certified surgeons with soft tissue, orthopedic, neurologic, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique and provide hands-on surgical nursing support.
- Administer medications, pain management protocols, IV fluids, and CRIs as directed.
- Monitor surgical and post-operative patients and respond to changes in patient status.
- Capture diagnostic radiographs and support surgical diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Maintain anesthesia records, medical documentation, surgical equipment, and instrumentation.
- Educate clients on recovery, medications, and post-operative care.

Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- $32.00–$42.00/hour based on experience
- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $5.50/hour shift differential for eligible hours worked between 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
