Veterinary Technician - Neurology & Surgery
$20-$30/hour based on experience and skill level
Full-Time | Naples, FL | Four 10-hour shifts per week (9:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

SCAN (Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology) is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing specialty neurology and neurosurgery team in Naples, Florida. If you're passionate about advanced patient care, anesthesia, surgery, and neurology, this is an opportunity to work alongside board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons while expanding your technical skills in a highly specialized environment.
Compensation: $20-$30/hour based on experience, skills, and credentials. Participation in an after-hours surgical on-call rotation with 1.5x pay and bonus opportunities

What You'll Do:
- Assist with neurology consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Provide anesthesia monitoring for advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
- Deliver exceptional inpatient nursing care and patient monitoring
- Assist with MRI procedures and advanced diagnostics
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Educate and communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care
- Collaborate closely with specialists and fellow veterinary professionals
What We're Looking For:
Our ideal candidate is a Veterinary Technician who thrives in a specialty environment and enjoys learning, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in neurology, surgery, emergency, specialty medicine, or anesthesia
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and patient nursing care
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to veterinary medicine
Credentialed technicians (RVT, CVT, or LVT) are encouraged to apply, though experienced veterinary technicians with strong specialty or surgical backgrounds will also be considered.
