About the Role
The Neurology Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between our Client Care Services (CCS) team, clients, referring veterinarians, and the Neurology service at VSH North County. This role ensures a seamless experience for clients and their pets—from the initial referral through ongoing treatment and follow-up care.You’ll manage Neurology appointment scheduling, facilitate medical record transfers, support client communication, and coordinate patient care within a fast-paced specialty environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for Neurology clients and referring veterinarians, providing clear communication and compassionate support.
- Triage calls, emails, and inquiries related to Neurology patients.
- Schedule new consultations, rechecks, transfers, and drop-offs; confirm deposits and consent forms.
- Obtain, upload, and distribute medical records before appointments; ensure rDVM records are sent within 48 hours.
- Create and send estimates, consent forms, and CPR/DNR directives.
- Build and review treatment plans with the medical team and discuss financial estimates with clients.
- Maintain accurate communication logs and assist with follow-ups and post-visit correspondence.
- Monitor patient status throughout visits, ensuring clients receive timely updates.
- Support the Neurology team with administrative tasks and interdepartmental coordination.
- Perform client care functions as needed, including payment processing and account updates.
About You

You adapt quickly, communicate clearly, and maintain composure under pressure.The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital (Neurology or specialty experience preferred).
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of veterinary terminology, patient care, medications, and medical record systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort discussing financial treatment plans and supporting clients through emotional situations.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with veterinary software and Microsoft Office; ezyVet experience a plus.
- Availability to work Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM and occasional holiday shifts.
