About the Role
As the Emergency Room Liaison, you'll be the critical connection between our emergency team and our clients. You'll help ensure our patients and their families are supported through seamless communication and compassionate service. This role is perfect for someone who loves working in emergency and specialty medicine and is ready to take their career to the next level.
What You’ll Do
- Client Communication:
- Ensure primary veterinary records are complete and attach rDVM information in ezyVet.
- Prepare and review treatment plans with clients, acting as an advocate for their understanding and care decisions.
- Provide timely updates on wait times and current case statuses.
- Review euthanasia paperwork with owners compassionately and clearly.
- Workflow Coordination:
- Oversee the triage process and assign ER rooms.
- Manage client locations (home, lobby, exam room, etc.) for smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with doctors and the clinical team to ensure approved treatments and diagnostics are facilitated efficiently.
- Administrative Excellence:
- Process payments and refunds for ER clients.
- Review invoices prior to discharge to ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all client and rDVM information in ezyVet.
- Manage multiple software systems including ezyVet, ER Express, Smartflow, and TEAMS.
- Financial Assistance:
- Advocate for clients by discussing care options and financial considerations.
- Review continued care treatment plans post-medical updates and collect deposits when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should be:
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and software systems simultaneously.
- Compassionate and patient, especially during emotionally challenging situations.
- Experienced in a veterinary setting (prior experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred).
- Skilled in working with ezyVet or similar veterinary management software (a plus but not required).
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary medicine, client services, or a related field.
- Proficiency in managing and learning new software systems.
- Schedule 3x12 shifts Thursday – Saturday overnight
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage $21.50 -$24.50
