Veterinary Technician Specialist, Anesthesia - CVT/LVT/RVT | $35–$45/hr

Schedule: Full-Time | Three 12-hour shifts per week
Compensation: $35–$45/hour + On-Call Compensation
Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is hiring a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anesthesia to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. This full-time VTS opportunity is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Technician looking to practice advanced anesthesia, support complex specialty cases, and work alongside boarded anesthesiologists.

Compensation
- $35–$45/hour based on experience and credentials

- Full-time schedule
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans for specialty and critical care patients
- Prepare patients for anesthesia, induction, and intubation
- Monitor anesthesia during orthopedic, soft tissue, thoracic, neurologic, and ophthalmic procedures
- Perform advanced technical skills including:
- Venipuncture
- Arterial catheter placement
- Local blocks and epidurals
- Provide post-operative recovery monitoring and patient care
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and specialty teams across the hospital
- Support technician training and mentorship
- Participate in voluntary overnight anesthesia on-call rotation
- Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining strong communication with the clinical team
- VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia) required
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) required
- Previous veterinary anesthesia experience required
- Strong technical anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty veterinary hospital environment
- Positive, collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
