Summit Veterinary Referral Center is the largest Emergency and Specialty Center in the South Puget Sound. With specialists in Cardiology, Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery and Radiology, we work as a team to provide the best patient and client care. We are seeking: Janitor
We have a vacancy in our team for a janitor to help us clean and maintain our busy veterinary hospital. To work well in this role you should have basic maintenance knowledge and cleaning experience. If you enjoy working around animals and take pride in providing a clean and well maintained hospital environment for our patients, clients and staff you are in the right place.
As a janitor your role will include but is not be limited to:
Clean all floors/carpets throughout the facility by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Empty all trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles when necessary, throughout the facility, to include exterior pet waste receptacles
Service, clean, and supply all restrooms, break rooms, exam rooms, and treatment other assigned areas
General pick-up of parking lot debris and trash, and maintenance of grounds
Assist nursing staff with laundry and maintain laundry room as needed
Support inventory staff in receiving hospital supplies
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Who you are:
High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of janitorial experience preferred
Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, cleaning materials, janitorial tools and equipment
Knowledge of routine building and grounds maintenance
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Compassionate, reliable, detail oriented, dependable, trustworthy
Compensation:
- $18.00-22.00 per hr.
