Compensation range: $25.00-28.00 per hour (based on experience)
Full-time opportunity in Queen Creek, Arizona at ARISE (Arizona Regional Intensive Care, Specialty & Emergency)
Schedule: Full-time; shift details shared during the interview process. Includes participation in the on-call rotation, with a minimum of one holiday shift per year.
The MRI Technologist plays a key role in ensuring ARISE patients receive responsible, compassionate care. This position performs high-quality, comprehensive MRI studies as ordered by veterinarians, assists with patient data entry and study setup, and provides patient restraint as needed. The MRI Technologist also supports the cleaning and maintenance of the MRI equipment and general stocking of the MRI areas, and, as time permits, assists and trains in other areas of the hospital. This role suits a dependable, team-oriented person with strong time-management skills who can prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Perform high-quality, comprehensive MRI studies on a variety of animal species
- Provide restraint of pets for examination and treatment by veterinarians
- Administer controlled substances and other injectables as prescribed, in accordance with policy and applicable laws
- Assist in the implementation of MRI safety for the hospital
- Assist with training and mentor technicians in obtaining quality diagnostic images
- Take dictation from the doctors pertaining to imaging needs
- Maintain anesthesia machines and monitors
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties and general stocking of the MRI areas
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
What You Bring
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Registration in Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) with active status
- Ability to cross-train other staff to operate the MRI, CT, and Digital Radiology
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; willingness to learn ezyVet and other software applications
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work varying hours as required
- Additional veterinary education or experience preferred
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
This role involves standing and walking throughout the shift, repetitive use of the hands, the ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance, and working in a clinical environment that includes exposure to radiation, cleaning agents, and potentially infectious patients.
