Compensation: $38-47/hr based on experience and skill level

CVRC located in beautiful Charleston, SC is the ONLY VECCS Level 1 certified facility in South Carolina, and 1 of only 2 in the southeast region of the United States!
We currently have a 16,000 square foot, state of the art facility with plans to grow in the new year. Our emergency center is staffed 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to always support our community! Specialty services offered at CVRC include cardiology, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, medical oncology (radiation oncology coming soon!), rehabilitation, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. Our hospital houses an MRT, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and digital radiographs for diagnostic imaging.
About the Role:
As the Specialty Nursing Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the specialty nursing staff in our Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Rehabilitation, and Oncology departments. You will lead, mentor, and support a dynamic team to ensure the highest standards of care are met, all while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Provide direct leadership to specialty department team leads and staff, promoting a professional and growth-oriented atmosphere.
- Staff Development: Oversee the recruitment, performance management, and training of nursing staff to ensure clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Operational Management: Manage the daily operations of the specialty departments, including scheduling, resource allocation, and shift coordination.
- Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate clear and effective communication between staff and leadership, ensuring smooth departmental operations and optimal patient care.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure that hospital policies and procedures are consistently followed, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
- Veterinary Technician Specialty Certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty veterinary care
- Proven leadership or management experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
