Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) in Waukesha is hiring a Veterinary Assistant on first shift!
The Veterinary Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. Must be friendly, professional and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Four 9-10 hour day shifts each week, including every other weekend
- 4 Holidays per year
- Pay starts at $16 an hour and may be higher depending on experience

Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required. Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Restraining of patients
- Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.
- Stocking the treatment areas
- Laundry
- Taking patients outside
- Feeding patients

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Must have worked or volunteered working with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar
