Veterinary Technician, Emergency

Location: Natick, MA
Schedule: Full-Time | Overnights | Three 12-hour shifts
Compensation: $25–$30/hour + $5/hour Overnight Shift Differential + Up to $5,000 Bonus
Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Natick, MA is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Critical Care team. This full-time overnight Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech looking to use advanced clinical skills, manage complex cases, and continue growing in emergency and specialty medicine.

Compensation
- $25–$30/hour, based on skill level and experience
- +$5/hour shift differential for hours worked between 11:00pm–7:00am
- Up to $5000 sign on bonus pending skill level & credentialing

- Overnights: Wednesday–Friday, 7:00pm–7:00am
- Triage incoming emergency patients
- Obtain patient histories and perform assessments
- Assist doctors with diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection
- Monitor anesthesia and sedation
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Assist with imaging, diagnostics, and emergency procedures
- Monitor hospitalized and critical patients
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient and client care
- Collaborate closely with ER clinicians, specialists, and support teams across departments
- Veterinary Technician experience required
- Emergency veterinary or critical care experience strongly preferred
- CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials preferred
- Strong technical skills including patient assessment, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and nursing care
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Strong communication skills with clients and team members
- Positive, collaborative, team-first mindset
- Passion for emergency medicine and continued professional growth
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
