We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Coordinator with a proven track record of success to lead and manage our fast-paced, dynamic Diagnostic Imaging department. This senior clinical role is responsible for oversight of sedation, patient monitoring, and coordination of imaging workflows, ensuring the team operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will excel at managing the diagnostic team’s schedule, optimizing departmental processes, and supporting seamless collaboration across all imaging services.
Position Overview:
The Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Coordinator is a licensed veterinary technician who plays a key clinical role within the Diagnostic Imaging department, with a primary focus on ultrasound services. This position is responsible for sedation oversight, anesthesia monitoring, and real-time coordination of imaging workflow, ensuring patients are safely prepared and procedures run efficiently throughout the day.
This role is ideal for an experienced technician with strong sedation and patient monitoring skills who enjoys balancing hands-on patient care with clinical coordination and delegation in a fast-paced specialty environment.

Compensation:
- Starting at $22/hr.
- Final compensation based on experience
Schedule:
- Full-time
- 4-day work week
- 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- No Weekends
- Holidays – 1 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Sedation & Patient Monitoring
Sedation & Patient Monitoring
- Calculate, prepare, and administer sedation medications accurately
- Continuously monitor and document patient vitals (HR, BP, RR, SpO₂)
- Assess patient response to sedation and escalate concerns appropriately
- Provide guidance and support to Diagnostic Imaging team members during sedation and monitoring
- Support radiologists and sonographers during ultrasound and radiographic procedures
- Safely restrain, position, and transport patients
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Place IV catheters; perform IM/IV injections; assist with emergency intubation when needed
- Prepare equipment for additional procedures (FNA, anesthesia support, SUB flushes, etc.)
- Manage and coordinate the daily ultrasound sedation schedule, adjusting as cases evolve
- Communicate with doctors and other departments to ensure sedation documentation and protocols are in place
- Anticipate delays, troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, and maintain efficient patient flow
- Delegate sedation and monitoring tasks as appropriate to Diagnostic Imaging team members
- Manage imaging requests, PACS, reports, and billing
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and imaging equipment in accordance with hospital protocols
- Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment focused on patient safety and efficiency
Who We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency or specialty veterinary hospital
- Strong sedation and anesthesia monitoring experience required
- Diagnostic Imaging experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and focused in a high-acuity environment
- Passion for patient care, teamwork, and high medical standards
- Fluent English (speaking and reading) required, bilingual skills a plus
