SAGE Veterinary Centers in Concord is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for a three-month temporary assignment primarily supporting our Internal Medicine team. This part-time position is a great opportunity for someone with strong foundational veterinary assisting skills who enjoys hands-on patient care, working with clients, and supporting a collaborative specialty team.

While your primary home will be Internal Medicine, you may also have opportunities to assist other specialty departments based on hospital needs.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Support the Internal Medicine team with daily patient care and hospital workflow
  • Safely handle and restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Collect blood and other laboratory samples
  • Assist with procedures within the appropriate scope of your role
  • Prepare patients and necessary supplies for procedures and treatments
  • Support accurate and efficient laboratory sample collection and handling
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care needs
  • Maintain clean, organized, and prepared treatment and procedure areas
  • Provide support to other specialty departments when needed

What You Bring

  • Previous hands-on veterinary hospital experience
  • Confidence with animal handling and restraint
  • Experience with blood sample collection
  • Ability to assist with veterinary procedures within your scope
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Interest in Internal Medicine and specialty veterinary care

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $26.00–$32.00/hour, depending on experience
