Radiation Oncology Certified Veterinary Technician

Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team at our beautiful Portsmouth, NH location!
Compensation & Schedule:
- $20 - $35 (based on licensure, experience, and skills assessment)
- Four 9-10 hour shifts (M-TH or Tu-F)

As a veterinary technician supporting our Oncologist(s), you will play a key role in assisting with treatments, diagnostic procedures, and compassionate care for patients. Your professionalism, patience, and kindness will shine as you provide exceptional support to clients both in person and on the phone.
Position Responsibilities:
- Guide clients and patients through their visits, working closely with our board certified radiation oncologist and anesthesiologist ensuring exceptional care.
- Participate in patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and diverse array of cutting-edge procedures.
- Monitor anesthesia, sedations, and therapy protocols including SRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, and palliative therapies (individualized onboarding and skills development plan included).
- Serve as a patient advocate, providing compassionate care and ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay.
- Credentialed Veterinary Nurse/Technician in good standing
- Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification is a plus.
- Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program and on track for credentialing are also encouraged to apply.
- 1-3 years working as a Veterinary Nurse/Technician in a clinical hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in medical record-keeping and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
