Schedule: Full Time | 2nd Shift | 6pm-4am | Sun, Wed, Thurs, Fri 
Compensation: $17-20/hr | $3/hour Shift Differential from 7pm-7am Mon through Fri and all day Sat & Sun

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will

  • Partner with the ER Triage Coordinator and clinical team to support efficient patient flow
  • Serve as a key point of communication between pet owners and the emergency care team
  • Keep clients informed about their pet’s status, anticipated wait times, and visit progress
  • Coordinate timely communication between clients and ER doctors throughout the visit
  • Provide compassionate, attentive hospitality to clients during their emergency visit
  • Advocate for a positive client experience through clear communication, empathy, and exceptional service
What You Bring
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Veterinary or medical experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 medical environment, with scheduling flexibility for evenings and weekends
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, lifting up to 40 lbs., and periods of sitting
  • Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records; recognize people and understand written directions. 
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone. 
  • Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as facsimile machines, copiers and computer keyboards.

Our Dayton location was established in 2008, and through the years our team has proudly cared for thousands of pets in this AAHA accredited hospital. In June of 2019, we moved to a brand new, 15,000 square foot facility. Our new hospital, located next door to our previous location, is home to 24-hour Emergency Care, Cardiology, and Radiology, Surgery. Our hospital is also AAHA accredited.
