Veterinary Emergency Referral Center (VERC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Emergency team in Pensacola, FL. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Vet Tech who enjoys emergency medicine, hands-on patient care, and working with a team that values excellent medicine, client service, and continued professional growth.
Compensation
$20–$23/hour based on skills assessment and experience

Schedule
Full-time
Three 12-hour overnight shifts per week
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care for emergency outpatient cases
Assist with patient assessment, treatment, monitoring, and daily care
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and other technical procedures
Assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, and drug calculations
Safely restrain and handle patients
Monitor patients and communicate changes to the veterinary medical team
Maintain accurate patient records and follow hospital protocols
Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient patient care environment
Support the Emergency team in providing timely, compassionate care
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
Emergency veterinary experience preferred, LVT certification prioritized
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, venipuncture, anesthesia, drug calculations, and laboratory procedures
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to adapt to the individual needs of patients and work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment
Positive, respectful, and team-oriented approach
Commitment to continued learning and professional development
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
