$17-$24 per hour

Full-time or Part-time opportunity in Gilbert, Arizona

Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday, 7p-7a (a variation of 3/12-hr shifts)

AVECCC is a 24-hour veterinary emergency and critical care hospital in Gilbert, AZ. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for clients and pets, working closely with a clinical team that partners with neurologists, internists, dermatologists, oncologists, and a surgical team to provide the highest quality care to our patients.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
• Display compassion and patience toward clients
• Answer incoming phone calls from clients, veterinarians, and employees
• Greet clients and pets upon arrival
• Handle emergency situations efficiently and calmly
• Present billing estimates to clients and collect payment for bills
• Admit and discharge animal patients
• Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their pet and/or wait time
• Document phone conversations in the electronic system
• Maintain and file patient records and complete all necessary paperwork
• Enter patient information into the company electronic system
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces
• Complete other tasks assigned by your supervisor
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience as a Client Administrator, Receptionist, or in a customer service related job
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to multitask
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care

Preferred:

• Familiarity with popular breeds of dogs and cats
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terms
• Education or experience in the veterinary field
• Ability to work various shifts, including all major holidays
