Compensation Range: RVT $26.00–$40.00/hr | Senior Veterinary Assistant $25.00–$36.00/hr

We are looking for Relief Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency department.

In your day-to-day, you will:
- Support the Emergency department on a flexible, as-needed basis
- Perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
What You Bring
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
- Ability to maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP), obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role (waived if you hold a valid CA-RVT license)
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential preferred
- Emergency or specialty experience preferred
