Location: West Springfield, MA
Schedule: Full-Time | 12-hour shifts | Rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation
- Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $24–$30/hour
- Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/RVT/LVT): $26–$31/hour
- VTS compensation considered based on experience and credentials
- Swing Shift (4:00pm–11:59pm): +$2.00/hour
- Overnight Shift (6:00pm–6:00am): +$2.50/hour

As an ICU Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Provide nursing care and ongoing monitoring for critically ill and hospitalized patients
- Perform patient assessments, including TPR, vital signs, and ongoing clinical monitoring
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed by DVMs
- Monitor anesthesia, sedation, and recovery patients
- Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization of incoming ER and Critical Care patients
- Place and maintain IV catheters
- Collect laboratory samples and run diagnostics
- Assist with advanced imaging and specialty procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Provide compassionate communication and support to clients throughout patient care
- Collaborate closely with Emergency, Critical Care, and Specialty teams across the animal hospital
- Emergency, ICU, Critical Care, or specialty veterinary medicine experience preferred
- CVT, LVT, or RVT strongly preferred; experienced non-credentialed Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply
- Strong patient monitoring, nursing care, and technical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency and specialty animal hospital
- Positive, dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Eager to learn and continue developing advanced Vet Tech skills
- Committed to excellent patient care and exceptional client service
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
We are a 24-hour, VECCS Level 2 Certified, state-of-the-art Emergency + Specialty veterinary hospital.
Like human medical specialists, VESH supports primary care veterinarians with the evaluation and treatment of pets affected by trauma, chronic issues, serious illness, or unusual disorders requiring advanced training, while also providing critical and emergency veterinary care.
We offer a variety of specialty services including Advanced Imaging (CT), Internal Medicine, Surgery, Medical Oncology, and Emergency and Critical Care.
