About Us
At VSH – North County, we’re not just an AAHA-accredited hospital — we’re a 24/7 team of passionate veterinary professionals who thrive on collaboration, compassion, and coffee. We provide specialty and emergency care across cardiology, dermatology, surgery, oncology, neurology, internal medicine, and more.
We are looking for a Clinical Specialty Technician Manager to join our crew — someone who loves being on the floor, leading from the front, and jumping in when things get wild. This role is 90% clinical, 10% admin, and 100% about supporting your team and delivering top-notch patient care.
✨ Culture & Community – We celebrate birthdays, holidays, and each other. (The Scoop newsletter keeps you in the loop!)
✨ Growth & Development – Free CE with VetBloom + mentorship opportunities.
✨ Support for YOU – On-site social worker and leadership support every step of the way.
✨ Perks for Your Pets – 75% employee discount, discounted food, and free wellness exams for blood donors.
✨ Solid Benefits – Medical, dental, vision, 3 weeks PTO, 401k, license reimbursement, and provided uniforms.
Leading by Example: Triage, place catheters, run CRIs, assist with anesthesia, monitor critical patients, and jump into the action whenever needed.
Keeping It Smooth: Help manage patient flow from check-in to discharge so everyone — clients, patients, and staff — has a great experience.
Building Schedules & Teams: Adjust staffing as needed, coach your crew, and keep morale high.
Making Things Shine: Ensure the hospital is clean, safe, and stocked so the team can focus on what they do best — saving lives.
A Little Admin: About 10% of your time will go to scheduling, training oversight, and supporting overnight operations behind the scenes.
RVT or equivalent experience with confidence in advanced emergency and specialty cases
Clinically seasoned (2+ years in Specialty) — comfortable managing high-acuity patients and complex procedures independently
A floor-first leader who teaches, mentors, and supports in the moment
Clear, calm communicator who performs well under pressure
Someone who thrives in controlled chaos and finds purpose in challenging medicine
This isn’t a desk job. This is a boots-on-the-floor, sleeves-rolled-up, lead-the-pack kind of job. If you love Emergency & Specialty medicine, leading a strong overnight team, and being part of a hospital that works hard but has fun doing it — we want to meet you!
