Compensation: $22-28/hr, Dependent On Experience | Higher Wages Available For Candidates With VTS Credentials | Weekend Shift Differential $1.50/hr

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will:
- Support the health and well-being of pets by performing patient assessments, diagnostics, stabilization, and comprehensive nursing care throughout the surgical process.
- Partner closely with board-certified surgeons to prepare for and assist with advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.
- Utilize your technical skills by performing patient restraint, phlebotomy, catheter placement, medication administration, drug calculations, diagnostic imaging, CT studies, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Prepare patients, surgical suites, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.
- Communicate with clients by providing updates, reviewing discharge instructions, and supporting a positive client experience.
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support teams to deliver exceptional patient care and foster a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
- Continue developing your technical expertise while supporting additional surgical and hospital responsibilities as needed.
What You Bring:
Veterinary Technician License (LVT, CVT, or RVT) is required
Foundational veterinary knowledge, including patient restraint, triage, imaging, laboratory skills, and venipuncture.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports NIVES mission to provide the highest quality veterinary specialty and emergency medicine for small animals.
Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive and respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty five pounds.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
