Compensation
  • $38 - $47/hr.  based on experience and credentialing
  • We offer the highest industry-standard differentials for weekend and overnight shifts!
    • $5/hr. overnight differentials (11:00pm – 7:00am)
    • $2.50/hr. weekends
    • These differentials are stackable!

Schedule
  • Full-Time (Flexible- preferred schedule below)
    • Tuesday: 7:00am – 7:00pm
    • Wednesday: 12:00pm – 12:00am
    • Friday & Saturday: 7:00pm – 7:00am
Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide advanced clinical support, and technical development within the Nursing Department so we may continue to provide exceptional patient care. The ECC Clinical Mentor serves as an experienced clinical resource for the nursing team by supporting training initiatives, staff development, and workflow efficiency while promoting professionalism, accountability, and a positive team culture.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and promote a positive culture and encouraging work environment
  • Assist with high-acuity hospitalized patient management and on the floor mentorship
  • Advanced competency in anesthesia monitoring, ventilator management, blood transfusions, central line management, advanced catheter placement, and critical care monitoring
  • Proactive support and follow through on training initiatives and projects delegated by nurse manager
  • Participate in onboarding plans for new employees
  • Assist with competency tracking and training progress documentation
  • Coordinate and assist with hospital continuing education sessions and wetlabs
  • Provide feedback to Nursing Leader Team on staff performance for evaluations
  • Provide continuous feedback to staff- encouragement, reinforcement, and redirection
  • Discourage negativity, gossip, and toxic behaviors
  • Be an active representative and participant in events that contribute to marketing, the advancement of our hospital image, and growth
Qualifications
  • Must be a CVT, RVT, LVT, VTS and preferably a minimum of 3 years mentorship experience
  • Must be highly skilled and familiar with emergency medicine, specialty experience a plus
  • Must be open to giving AND receiving feedback
  • Capable of anticipating problems and proactively finding solutions
  • Ability to react quickly and appropriately during emergency situations, and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication/people skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with clients
  • Ability to work with and without direct supervision
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
