As an ER Liaison / Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting efficient emergency department operations while providing compassionate guidance to clients during stressful situations.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Serve as the primary liaison between pet owners and the Emergency & Critical Care team.
  • Welcome clients and provide updates throughout the emergency visit.
  • Review treatment plans and financial estimates with clients.
  • Collect payments and deposits while assisting clients with financing options when appropriate.
  • Coordinate communication between veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams.
  • Support emergency patient intake and assist with client check-in and documentation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient and client information within the Practice Information Management System (PIMS).
  • Assist with patient flow and coordinate exam room readiness.
  • Prepare and review client paperwork and treatment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records and support charge capture throughout the patient visit.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous veterinary client service, veterinary assistant, or emergency hospital experience preferred.
  • Strong client service and communication skills.
  • Experience reviewing treatment estimates and collecting payments.
  • Proficiency using Practice Information Management Systems (PIMS); ezyVet experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced emergency environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional client and patient care.
