About AECFV Animal Emergency Clinic Fraser Valley (AECFV) has been providing emergency and critical care to the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley since 1996. We are an AAHA-accredited animal hospital supporting more than 100 general practices, and one of the largest and busiest standalone emergency hospitals in Western Canada.
Our 8,000 sq ft veterinary facility runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by a dedicated team committed to the highest standard of emergency medicine for small animals. We house one of the largest blood banks in Canada and are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment tools.

The Role As a Registered Veterinary Technician at our animal hospital, you will work alongside a collaborative team delivering emergency and critical care to small animal patients. Whether you are a new graduate or a seasoned RVT, you will find variety, challenge, and room to grow here.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
Assist the veterinarian before, during, and after surgery
Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian direction
Provide nursing care and monitoring for emergency and critical care patients
Perform ongoing triage assessment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples, and perform laboratory tests
Provide wound and bandage care
Counsel clients on animal health care
Help mentor visiting practicum students and peers
About You You are a Registered Veterinary Technologist, or a recent graduate preparing to write the Veterinary Technician National Examination, who is passionate about emergency and critical care medicine for small animals. You bring compassion and professionalism to every interaction, and you thrive in a fast-paced veterinary clinic environment.
Dedicated to excellent patient care and excited to develop your skills
Able to recognize and manage multiple priorities, including ongoing triage assessment
Committed to maintaining professional registration and continuing education
Strong team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
Accurate, organized, flexible, and able to take initiative
Physically able to meet the demands of the role: standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and lifting
Schedule Full-time is a minimum of 64 hours per pay period.
3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week
One weekend shift per week required
Rotating schedule including some statutory holidays
Part-time positions considered based on staffing needs — typically evenings, weekends, and overnights
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
