Veterinary Technician Caregiver, Urgent Care

Allegheny Veterinary Emergency Trauma & Specialty is hiring!

We are looking for full-time Veterinary Technician Caregivers to join our Urgent Care team. In an effort to adapt to increased ER caseload, we are implementing a new Urgent Care model. If you’re looking to advance your skill set and work in a fast-paced environment, we want to work with you!

This is a full-time, hourly position, working either 3 twelve hour shifts or 4 ten hour shifts per week, inclusive of one shift per weekend and a portion of the holidays.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to:

• Follow a structured training program.
• Remain calm and efficient in a high stress environment; be adaptable and overcome challenging situations!
• Provide excellent customer service and interact with clients in a manner that supports Avets' mission to provide state of the art medicine and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.
• Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive and respectful environment. All technical staff, regardless of the level of experience, must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (12 hours), and lift a minimum of twenty five pounds.

Prior emergency experience preferred, but not required. Certified Veterinary Technicians or license eligible candidates will be given the highest consideration.
