Customer Service Representative

$18.00–$22.00/hour DOE + $2.00/hour Overnight Shift Differential
Full-Time | Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center of Hawaii (VERC) | Honolulu, HI

VERC is hiring a full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Client Care team.

You'll be one of the first points of contact for pet owners, helping clients navigate check-in, appointments, admissions, payments, medical records, and other front desk needs in our busy 24/7 Emergency & Specialty veterinary hospital.

Veterinary experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality, reception, or other fast-paced environments are encouraged to apply.

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate and professional approach to client service.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Confidence handling payments and financial transactions.
  • Dependable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Veterinary or medical front desk experience preferred but not required.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Greet clients and assist with patient check-in, admissions, and discharges.
  • Answer client questions and provide information about hospital services and processes.
  • Schedule appointments, emergency visits, and follow-up care.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate client and patient records.
  • Prepare invoices and process payments and other financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with Veterinary Technicians, Veterinarians, and hospital teams to support patient flow.
  • Assist with phone calls, emails, scanning, records, and other front desk responsibilities.
  • Provide professional and compassionate service to clients throughout their hospital experience.
