Compensation:
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians: $25-$30/hr. based on experience
- Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $22-$28/ hr. based on experience

Job Description:
The successful candidate will work alongside a board-certified Veterinary Internist to provide exceptional client service and the highest standard of patient care. Our Internal Medicine department collaborates with multiple specialty services. Internal Medicine technicians play a vital role in supporting GCVS-NP’s commitment to 24/7/365 veterinary care by contributing to on-call services, holiday coverage, and occasional support in other departments.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work alongside a board-certified Veterinary Internist to provide exceptional client service and the highest standard of patient care. Our Internal Medicine department collaborates with multiple specialty services. Internal Medicine technicians play a vital role in supporting GCVS-NP’s commitment to 24/7/365 veterinary care by contributing to on-call services, holiday coverage, and occasional support in other departments.
Responsibilities:
- enthusiastic, eager to learn, and have excellent multi-tasking abilities
- exemplary communication skills with both colleagues and clients
- intravenous catheter placement
- venipuncture
- drug dose calculation
- strong interest in internal medicine
- Prepares exam and procedure rooms for each visit, anticipating needs of the DVM.
- Obtain patients current body weight, reason for visit and brief history.
- Obtain other vitals and lab work as needed.
- Perform and assist with all aspects of animal restraint for exams and procedures.
- Collects and processes all bloodwork
- Administers medications
- Assists with procedures and endoscopy per the doctor’s orders.
- Under the direction of the Internist, runs anesthesia during procedures as needed.
- Prepare estimates and collect payment as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technicians or Experienced Veterinary Technicians with at least 2 year of experience.
- Prior experience in Emergency and/ or Specialty Care is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.
- A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
