Veterinary Technician, Anesthesia | $24–$38/hr | Full-Time Benefits | 3 12-hour shifts | Woburn, MA

Join Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital as an Anesthesia Veterinary Technician and grow your skills in a Level 1 Emergency & Critical Care specialty hospital with advanced surgery, MRI, CT, and collaborative specialty care.

Compensation

• $24–$38/hour, based on experience and skills
• Higher rates available for VTS technicians

• 3 12-hour shifts per week
• Wednesday/Thursday, plus alternating Friday/Saturday

• CE Allowance + Access to VetBloom for RACE-approved courses
• RECOVER Training

• Assist in managing anesthesia cases while collaborating with board-certified specialists and VTS technicians
• Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon
• Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
• Execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation and anesthetic events
• Assist with operating room duties as a nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic surgeries
• Provide comfort, advocacy, and high-quality nursing care for every patient

• Experienced Veterinary Technician, Vet Tech, CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred
• Anesthesia, surgery, specialty, emergency, or critical care experience preferred
• Strong patient monitoring, technical, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty veterinary environment
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
