Animal Urgent Care in West Arvada is a small—but mighty—emergency hospital proudly serving our community from a modern, state-of-the-art facility. Key Responsibilities
Envision - Financial Acumen & Creative Vision
  • Partner with OM and MD in reviewing hospital financial performance, contributing to long-term financial planning and day-to-day fiscal management.
  • Analyze financial reports and implement improvements to align with budget goals and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage billing, accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create and communicate a clear vision for the future, supporting innovation and adopting best-in-class service practices to improve team performance and patient care.
Transform - Operational Effectiveness & Alignment
  • Lead all aspects of hospital operations, proactively identifying and implementing workflow improvements that drive efficiency and enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to align clinical and operational processes, improving coordination across departments.
  • Maintain oversight of inventory, scheduling, and systems to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost control.
Engage - Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Set clear expectations, provide consistent guidance, and ensure alignment between team performance and hospital goals.
  • Build a high-functioning, collaborative team by fostering open communication and modeling service excellence.
  • Ensure hospital protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements are consistently upheld.
Develop - Team Culture & Growth
  • Cultivate a culture of growth, accountability, and recognition by investing in coaching, performance development, and consistent feedback.
  • Identify training needs and lead initiatives to improve team performance, morale, and retention.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and respect across all roles and departments.
Drive - Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
  • Independently address operational and personnel challenges using data and sound judgment to drive timely, effective solutions.
  • Navigate complex or ambiguous situations with confidence, developing and implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Serve as the point person for escalations and cross-functional coordination, balancing autonomy with strategic input from divisional leadership when appropriate.
  • Partners intentionally with (JV Stakeholders and) Ethos Leadership to ensure alignment on hospital goals, fostering trust, transparency, and a shared understanding of performance expectations and outcomes to drive the execution of hospital priorities.  
Inspire – Culture, Patient Centered Care & Leadership Presence
  • Own the client experience by proactively managing concerns and ensuring exceptional service is delivered across all touchpoints.
  • Promote a compassionate, client-centered hospital culture where transparency and trust are prioritized.
  • Work closely with the client care and clinical teams to uphold high standards of care and communication.
Qualifications
  • Education: Degree or equivalent working experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a leadership or management role with autonomy over operations, formal responsibility for people management; ideally in a veterinary or healthcare environment. 
  • Skills: Strong financial and operational acumen with proven success in managing KPIs and driving performance. Ability to prioritize, manage teams, and make decisions in dynamic hospital settings. Exceptional communicator, leading with transparency, integrity, and empathy. Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and results. Proficient in practice management systems and operational tools, ideally for veterinary care.
  • Ideal Background: Clinical experience preferred in veterinary medicine or human healthcare with a working understanding of clinical operations.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role.
