About You
You are a Veterinary Technician with outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You enjoy working as a team and are able to remain composed during stressful and emotional situations.

You understand that clear, effective communication among clients and team members is a priority and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

You’re looking for an opportunity to utilize your full skill set while simultaneously learning new & advanced techniques.

Preferred experience with Anesthesia, Endoscopy equipment, ultrasounds, and CT scans.

Job Description
* Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, & recovery of patients, clean / maintain anesthesia equipment
* Surgery - surgical prep, doctor assistance, clean, sterilize, and maintain all surgical instruments and OR equipment.
* In-Patient Medical Care - medications, assist or perform treatments, diagnostics & monitoring, place IV catheters, draw blood, run lab tests, administer IV fluids, cleaning, feeding, and walking patients as needed.
* Radiology - positioning patients and taking radiographs, submitting for consults.
* Laboratory duties - collecting, preparing, and running or submitting samples for requested tests; reading and recording results when indicated (fecal, urinalysis, ear cytology, etc.) when requested by doctor.
* Preparing invoices, discharge instructions, and client information packs.
* Client communication - give patient updates, discharge instructions, and provide follow-up for certain hospital patients.
* Client medical demonstrations/education.
* Technician appointments - blood draws for therapeutic monitoring / screening tests, bandage changes, post-op checks and suture removals.
* Clinic technician - assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, preparing, restocking, cleaning exam rooms, check patients in and out, take history and vitals, input date into patient medical record, ensure smooth and timely flow of outpatient appointments from check-in to the discharge.
* Assist in training and mentoring new team members, interns/students and volunteers.
* Assist with inventory control, ordering, unpacking, restocking drug & medical supplies.
* Preparing prescriptions, dispensed medications & medication refills.
* Calculating drug dosages, fluid drip rates accurately.
* Contribute to hospital cleaning.
* Voluntary participation in Surgery ON call

* Shift Differential- After 10 pm $1.50/hour differential pay.
* Weekend differential (Friday 6pm -Monday 8am include a $1.50/hr shift differential.
