Working in our 24/7 specialty hospital, you'll gain exposure to advanced diagnostics, complex medical cases, and cutting-edge treatments while partnering with experienced specialists and fellow technicians who are committed to helping one another succeed.
Deliver exceptional nursing care for Internal Medicine patients throughout diagnostics, treatment, and recovery.
Assist veterinarians with advanced medical procedures, diagnostics, and patient treatments.
Place IV catheters, perform accurate drug calculations, and administer medications safely and efficiently.
Monitor anesthesia and support patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories.
Assist with diagnostic procedures including radiology, ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and glucose monitoring.
Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weights while providing client education during outpatient appointments.
Provide comprehensive nursing care for hospitalized patients, including treatments, diagnostics, medication administration, and accurate medical record documentation.
Conduct pre-admission evaluations and discharge appointments while communicating treatment plans and patient updates with clients.
Maintain complete, accurate, and legally defensible medical records.
Participate actively in nursing rounds and collaborate on patient care plans.
Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
Licensed, Certified, or Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, or a Veterinary Technician with at least five years of Internal Medicine experience.
Minimum of two years of Internal Medicine experience preferred.
Strong technical skills including IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and advanced patient nursing.
Experience performing laboratory testing and assisting with advanced diagnostic procedures.
Strong understanding of veterinary pharmacology and Internal Medicine patient care.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, computer, and multitasking abilities.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
