Compensation: $18.00–$20.00/hour based on skill leveling assessment + $5.00/hour Overnight Differential

Compensation

Schedule
  • Part-Time – hours to be determined
Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient examinations, treatments, and nursing care.
  • Support diagnostic procedures, laboratory testing, imaging, and patient monitoring.
  • Safely restrain patients for examinations and medical procedures.
  • Prepare patients and treatment areas for procedures and diagnostics.
  • Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital equipment.
  • Monitor patient comfort and communicate changes to the medical team.
  • Accurately document treatments and patient information within the hospital information system.
  • Deliver compassionate client service and educate pet owners as directed by the veterinary team.
  • Collaborate with doctors, technicians, client care coordinators, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented hospital culture while helping maintain an efficient workflow.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary hospital required.
  • Passion for providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary environment.
  • Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including days, overnights, and weekends.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and support the entire hospital team.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
