The Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) is a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital, dedicated to providing patients, clients, and referring veterinarians with the highest quality emergency and specialty veterinary medical care. WVRC Waukesha, WI is hiring a Radiology Technologist in our Imaging Department.
Compensation: Starting at $29 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Schedule Requirements: Monday - Friday *This position may be Part-Time or Full-time. Schedules are subject to change based on the needs of the Hospital and Department.
Responsibilities:
Daily use of Radiologic imaging such as X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, MRI and CT.
Performs X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, MRI, and CT scans with proper technical factors.
In partnership with the Veterinary Technicians, assists with positioning of patients to ensure appropriate images are captured.
Trains staff to form standard expectations with all patient imaging, and creates or reviews imaging protocols.
Works independently or under the guidance of the clinician to modify scan techniques for optimal image quality.
Troubleshoots image quality issues while performing X-Ray, MRI, and CT.
Performs routine X-Ray, MRI, Fluoroscopy, and CT quality assurance and reports any concerns in a timely manner.
Maintains a clean and safe environment and adhere to appropriate restricted access.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager and service vendors, troubleshoots technology issues with scanners/equipment when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program (associate or bachelor’s degree).
Certification or licensure, such as from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the United States.
1 year experience as MRI Technologist in human or veterinary medicine
