Veterinary Technician Dallas Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery (DVDOS) seeks a full-time Veterinary Technician with energy, initiative, and a collaborative spirit to help our team deliver top-tier dental care.

Position Overview:
The Veterinary Technician will support our specialty dental team in providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. This includes managing anesthesia protocols, monitoring patients, and placing intravenous catheters.
The Veterinary Technician will help ensure every patient receives safe, precise, and compassionate care while assisting the team in delivering an outstanding client experience. Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday - Thursday
- 8am-6pm(ish)
- (If you must be off work at a certain time, this job is not for you.) Our day generally ends at 6-6:30pm, but it could be 7-7:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Support anesthesia protocols and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Place and manage intravenous catheters, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assist with dental procedures, including oral exams, cleanings, and, if experienced, dental radiographs.
- Provide compassionate, attentive care for dogs and cats, handling patients confidently and safely.
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and clients, explaining procedures and addressing questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including anesthesia logs, treatment notes, and monitoring charts.
- Follow established protocols while thinking critically to adapt to unique patient or procedural needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the treatment and surgical areas.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment, supporting coworkers and helping maintain workflow efficiency.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude, ensuring exceptional client service at all times.
Qualifications:
- Prior veterinary experience required.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a minimum of 1 year of veterinary technician experience OR non-licensed technician with a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience.
- Confident and skilled in handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Positive, reliable, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to follow established protocols while also thinking critically and adapting when needed.
- Outgoing, team-oriented personality with a customer-service focused attitude.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
