This non-clinical, client-facing role serves as an essential communication bridge between pet owners and the Emergency veterinary team, providing timely updates, coordinating patient flow, and delivering compassionate customer service during stressful situations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in veterinary client service, healthcare, medical reception, hospitality, or high-volume customer service who thrives in a fast-paced emergency environment.

As a Client Patient Liaison, you'll work closely with Emergency veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and Client Service Representatives to create a seamless experience for clients and their pets throughout an emergency visit.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Emergency clients, providing compassionate updates, guidance, and support throughout their pet's visit.
  • Coordinate communication between clients, the front desk, Emergency veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and support teams to maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Support emergency intake and discharge processes while helping clients understand what to expect during their visit.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client communications and patient updates within veterinary practice management software.
  • Review treatment estimates, process payments, and assist clients with basic billing and pet insurance questions.
  • Recognize urgent situations and promptly connect clients with the appropriate clinical team for veterinary triage.
  • Provide calm, professional, and solution-focused customer service during emotionally sensitive and high-stress situations.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in veterinary client service, veterinary reception, healthcare, medical reception, hospitality, or high-volume customer service preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and exceptional client service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced Emergency veterinary hospital.
  • Calm, compassionate, and professional approach to difficult or emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software, electronic medical records (EMR), or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset and ability to work effectively with clinical and client service teams.
