Are you ready to join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care to our furry friends?  Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is hiring a full-time Veterinary Surgical Instrument Technician to join our outstanding Surgery Team!  This opportunity is a full-time role of 40 hours per week. Based on experience, starting at $19.50 - $22.00/hour, based on experience.  May require weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation availability.

As the Veterinary Surgical Instrument Technician, you will play an integral part of supporting our surgical team by ensuring surgical instruments are properly prepared, sterilized, and organized for a wide range of emergency and specialty procedures. This role is essential for maintaining surgical flow, patient safety, and infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments using autoclaves
  • Prepare instrument packs and specialized trays for scheduled and emergency procedures
  • Ensure timely instrument turnover during high-volume surgical days
  • Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and instruments, reporting any missing/damaged items
  • Assist with operating room cleaning, setup, and restocking between cases
  • Uphold strict aseptic techniques and hospital-wide biosecurity policies
  • Provide occasional support with patient prep or positioning as needed under technician guidance
