Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego – North County is seeking a full-time Client Care Specialist (CCS) to join our 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Referral hospital in San Marcos, California.

­­About the Job:
Client Care Specialists are the welcoming face of our hospital, providing front-line customer support. This team uses positivity, teamwork, and empathy to deliver exceptional customer service. Stationed at the front desk, our Client Care Specialists are the central 'hub' of the veterinary hospital, ensuring elevated client experiences, while preparing our medical team for success with their patients!
 

As a Client Care Specialist, you will:

· Perform all essential functions for both the Emergency and Specialty departments.

· Provide ongoing communication with clients before, during, and after their visit.

· Monitor the Callback System, respond to clients’ messages, and collaborate with the medical team accordingly.

· Organize and oversee daily appointments, ensuring the efficient scheduling of each day. Review upcoming appointments for the week to facilitate advanced preparation by the teams for client visits.

· Assist clients with financial transactions.

· Assist the clinical team with follow-up activities including follow-up calls and post-appointment tasks.

· Guide clients through potential high-stress situations during their visit.

· Participate in the holiday schedule; Perk: Holidays are paid time and a half!

The ideal candidate:

· Have previous experience in the veterinary or healthcare field (preferred but not required)

· Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude.

· The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community is a must!

· Maintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in stressful situations.

Compensation: Our compensation for this role depends on skillset and experience and typically falls between $18.00 and $21.50 per hour.
