Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard (ASEC) is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency team in Melbourne, Florida. Working alongside experienced emergency clinicians and board-certified specialists, you'll play an essential role in stabilizing critical patients, supporting advanced diagnostics, and delivering compassionate care throughout every overnight shift.

Full-Time
Three 12-hour shifts
Thursday-Saturday
7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Triage incoming emergency patients and assist with patient stabilization.
Perform patient assessments and monitor hospitalized emergency patients throughout the shift.
Place and maintain intravenous catheters and administer medications and fluid therapy as directed.
Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing.
Assist with radiographs, diagnostic imaging, and emergency procedures.
Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency surgeries and procedures as needed.
Provide exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and critically ill patients.
Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
Collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians, specialists, and fellow technicians to provide seamless patient care.
Deliver compassionate communication and support to clients during emergency situations.
Minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience, preferably in Emergency Medicine
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, or CVT) preferred
Strong understanding of veterinary nursing, restraint, phlebotomy, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, and patient monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced emergency environment
Ability to remain calm under pressure while prioritizing patient care
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
