The Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology in Annapolis, MD is hiring a full- time Patient Care Coordinator to join our outstanding team!

It is the responsibility of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to maintain the communication lines between the doctor and client. A PCC must also manage the doctor’s appointments, schedule procedures, review estimates, and oversee client communication. The PCC must be friendly, professional, and courteous. This position requires an organized and dependable individual, who can manage difficult situations with grace and a positive attitude. Client communication skills are essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate DVM Schedule
- Oversee appointment schedule to maximize flow and number of patients seen.
- Ensure all rDVM records and radiographs are ready for each appointment, at least 24 hours prior to scheduled time.
- Introduce yourself to clients at the time of appointments and provide contact information for any needed follow- up questions.
- Communicate with DVM regarding appropriate scheduling
- Review estimates with clients
- Assist with ongoing communication with clients during day
- Ensure client calls and questions are handled within 24 hours and delegate, when appropriate
- Review results with DVM and ensure clients are contacted by a member of the team within 1 business day of review.
- Send records to RDVM and clients, when finalized
- Collaborate with technician and CSRs to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication
- Handle challenges with grace, empathy, and professionalism
Qualifications:- Strong interpersonal skills with genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to work as a team and collaborate with technicians and CSRs effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone manner
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
- Remain calm under pressure
- Excellent work ethic and dependability
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred

As well a great team of registered and senior veterinary technicians and client service representatives. AVIMO-Annapolis is part of the Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center which is the premier veterinary specialty center in the area. Our team works directly with the other specialty services like surgery, neurology, cardiology, eye care, and the AAVEC emergency team.
Anticipated Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday 8am – 6pm
- No holidays or weekend duties
- No on call schedule
