We are looking for a dedicated Department Coordinator to join our Critical Care team!
Job Duties: As a Department Coordinator for the CCU department, you will be responsible for:
- Continuously review and assess workload, formulating and implementing plans to ensure efficient and productive execution.
- Assign tasks according to treatment workflows, inpatient turnover processes, and patient release Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.
- Provide ongoing feedback and collaborate with departmental leadership on team activities and staff performance.
- Triage patient care effectively in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
- Lead by example and demonstrate influence by fostering a positive team culture.
- Guide, direct, and coordinate staff to ensure optimal patient care and efficient workflow.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, clients, and other departments with professionalism, tact, patience, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Perform mathematical calculations accurately for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other position-related requirements.
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP), or obtain within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if the incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license).
Requirements:
- Current CA RVT license and one year of clinical experience, or three consecutive years of Veterinary Assistant/Senior Veterinary Assistant experience at SAGE Centers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and positively influence others.
- Strong leadership skills to guide, direct, and coordinate staff.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with tact, patience, and professionalism.
- Consistent and reliable mathematical skills for calculating drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and other necessary financial or clinical calculations.
- Must maintain or be eligible to obtain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role (requirement waived for holders of a valid CA-RVT license).
