Compensation: $30–40/hr based on experience, skills, and credentials. Veterinary Technician Specialists (VTS) starting at $40/hr.
Hiring Bonus: Up to $3,000 for Licensed Veterinary Technicians and experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 2 years of veterinary hospital experience.
Schedule: Full-time, 4-day work week
Monday–Wednesday, 8:00am–7:00pm or Tuesday–Friday, 8:00am–7:00pm

Animal Medical Center of Seattle is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing Neurology team. This position is ideal for technicians who enjoy advanced medicine, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and providing exceptional care to complex neurological patients.
Working alongside our Neurology specialists, you will play an essential role in patient monitoring, advanced diagnostics, anesthesia support, client communication, and treatment administration. Candidates with strong anesthesia skills and an interest in specialty medicine are encouraged to apply.
VTS credentialed technicians, or those interested in pursuing a VTS, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Assist neurologists with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
Monitor and care for patients with neurological disorders
Prepare patients for procedures and surgery
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
Maintain accurate anesthesia and treatment records
Calculate and administer medications as directed
Monitor patient status and promptly communicate changes to veterinarians
Assist with MRI and CT imaging procedures
Obtain diagnostic radiographs while following all safety regulations
Perform laboratory testing and operate diagnostic equipment
Conduct CBC differentials, urinalysis, fecal exams, cytology, and cross-matching procedures
Educate pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care
Provide exceptional client communication and support
Maintain accurate medical records and treatment charges
Support inventory, equipment maintenance, and quality control procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment area
Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and training opportunities
Assist with holiday and on-call coverage schedules
Perform additional duties as assigned
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
Experienced Veterinary Assistants with a minimum of 2 years of veterinary hospital experience are encouraged to apply
Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
Strong anesthesia skills required
Specialty hospital experience preferred
Neurology experience preferred
Experience with MRI and CT imaging is a plus
Strong patient care, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Professional communication skills with clients and team members
Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with professionalism
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn veterinary software systems
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
