Veterinary Assistant, Surgery
Location: Waukesha, WI
Schedule: Full Time | 1st Shift | 4 Ten Hour Shifts Per Week | No Weekends and No On Call!
Compensation: $16.50/hr +, Dependent On Experience

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will:

• Safely restrain patients during examinations, treatments, and procedures.

• Maintain clean, organized kennels, treatment areas, surgery suites, and floors.

• Stock treatment areas and surgery suites with necessary supplies.

• Complete laundry to ensure clean bedding, towels, and other linens are available.

• Support patient comfort by providing meals and taking patients outside as needed.

• Assist with maintaining surgery and anesthesia equipment and cleaning surgical instruments.

• Help prepare patients and procedure areas for surgical and non-surgical procedures.

• Manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a physically active environment, including standing for most of your shift and staying beyond scheduled hours when needed.

What You Bring:

• At least 2 years of experience in the veterinary field, including veterinary customer service.

• A collaborative approach and commitment to building lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.

• A positive attitude and passion for delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• The ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.
