This is a remote, work from home position. No travel requirements, but option to do limited travel to larger industry conferences if desired. 

Veterinary Science Consultancy (VSC) is a vertical service of Ethos Veterinary Health (Ethos, Ethos Veterinary Hospital Network | Specialty and Emergency Services) that utilizes Ethos veterinarians and the collective Ethos domain knowledge to provide consulting and clinical trial services to pharma and biotech companies. As the total science footprint within Ethos continues to grow, so has the need for additional members to support Ethos’s scientific priorities. One of these needs is a Trial Monitor to manage the launch and conduct of clinical trials within the Ethos hospitals. This new position will allow for more direct oversight and support to the Ethos hospitals participating in trials to ensure strong patient accrual into the VSC clinical trials, thereby improving the services delivered to the VSC biopharma clients.

Responsibilities: Full-time commitment
  • Project management for VSC clinical trials to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work products to the VSC clients.
  • Final review and proof of trial documents.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of assigned VSC clinical trials.
  • Assist in generating clinical trial training materials and provide training to Ethos hospitals being onboarded into a VSC clinical trial.
  • Assist in the generation of clinical trial marketing and advertisements.
  • Stay in regular contact with all hospitals participating in VSC clinical trials to follow their progress in the trials and provide support as needed to ensure strong patient accrual.
  • Act as a point of contact for Ethos hospitals participating in VSC clinical trials to field study-related questions and troubleshooting.
  • Provide support to potential clients interested in enrolling their pet in our research.
  • Become familiarized with the VSC electronic data capture program at an administrator level and monitor hospitals’ data entry from trials to maintain high quality data capture.
  • Attend weekly and monthly science meetings and manage minutes and follow up.
  • Organize/store VSC legal and medical documents for record keeping and accessibility as needed.
  • Assist in the tracking of trial and general VSC financial obligations as needed.

Education, License, and Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in the scientific, veterinary, or medical field preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Experience with electronic data capture preferred.

Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in clinical trial management, research, or (healthcare preferred) administrative roles
  • Ability to build and foster positive relationships at all levels
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to energize and engage diverse audiences about the work of our organization
  • Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and able to independently handle multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced Excel skills preferred.
