Job Description:
The Cardiology Technician provides exceptional patient care while supporting the veterinary medical team through treatments, nursing care, diagnostics, triage, and patient monitoring. This role assists with patient comfort, surgical preparation, laboratory procedures, and client communication while helping ensure efficient workflows and high-quality care.


Compensation:
  • $24 - $32 /hr. based on licensure and skillset

Schedule:
  • Full Time
    • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
      • 9am-3pm
Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate nursing care for cardiology patients during exams, treatments, and recovery.
  • Assist veterinarians with echocardiograms, ECGs, bloodwork, chest taps, and procedures.
  • Monitor patients, administer treatments, collect samples, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Safely restrain and transport patients while ensuring comfort and proper care.
  • Support procedures through patient prep, equipment setup, sterilization, and recovery assistance.
  • Communicate with doctors, technicians, and clients regarding patient care and treatment plans.
  • Enter and manage patient information within cardiology and medical record systems.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked cardiology and treatment areas.
  • Assist with patient discharges, referral communication, and client support.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AVA certification or veterinary assistant program completion preferred.
  • Veterinary hospital experience required; cardiology or specialty experience a plus.
  • LVT/CVT/RVT credential preferred.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
