Position Overview:
It is the responsibility of the IM Technician to give responsible and compassionate care to all GCVS patients. They are responsible for monitoring and treating patients and keeping detailed records during hospitalization. Internal Medicine is a dynamic department where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside board-certified specialists and a highly skilled support team; all focused on delivering the best outcomes for our patients.

** WE ARE OFFERING A SIGNING BONUS FOR THIS ROLE OF UP TO $2500**

Compensation:
  • Starting at 22/hr., depending on experience & skills
  • $$ SIGN ON BONUS $$
    • $1,500 Sign-On Bonus for LVTs
    • $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for VTS 
    • Relocation allowance available
Schedule:
  • Full Time
    • 4x10 hour shifts
    • Rotating Saturdays/ On call requirements
    • NO HOLIDAYS required!!
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Internists with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, BALs, biopsies, etc. 
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia (anesthesia experience required), including advanced monitoring and patient safety
  • Perform and manage diagnostic testing, such as ACTH stimulation tests, glucose curves, and other specialty lab protocols
  • Proficient in venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Administer medications, CRIs, fluids, oxygen therapy, and specialty treatments
  • Collect laboratory samples
  • Accurately monitor and record vitals, intake/output, and patient status in the EMR
  • Provide client education regarding medications and discharge instructions
  • Prepare, maintain, and clean specialty equipment and procedure areas
  • Collaborate closely with doctors, technicians, and support staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications and Skills Sought:
  • Current technical certification (LVT) is required, or eligible to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire
  • Skilled in anesthesia protocols and procedures
  • Proficient in patient care and monitoring (including TPR, BP, SpO2, ECG, ETCO2)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, adaptable, and positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills with a passion for assisting others.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Familiarity with common drugs, their uses, brand/generic names, side effects, and controlled substance protocols.
  • Skilled in social perceptiveness and adaptability to others' reactions to enhance client interactions.
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
