Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago, IL is hiring a full-time specialty Veterinary Technician.

Schedule and Compensation:
This is an hourly, full-time hourly position, working 4 ten hour shifts per week.
Hourly pay range is $23-28/hr.

  • Emergency and Critical Care
  • Internal Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Surgery
  • Anesthesia

Successful applicants will have the following:
  • CVT or experienced nurse with a minimum of 3 years in emergency or specialty setting with advanced anesthesia experience (ASA 3-5)
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Proper animal restraint
  • Peripheral catheter placement and properly securing them
  • Venipuncture experience
  • Knowledge of various routes of drug administration
  • Calculation and administration of fluids and medications
  • Aseptic surgical area preparation
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs (TPR, SpO2, CO2, BP)
  • Basic in-house laboratory testing (CBC/Chem, Lytes, IStat, UA)
  • Maintain proper medical records
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time 
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
