About the job:
Duties you will own in this role:
- Triage incoming patients
- Monitor critical and fractious patients
- Administer treatments and medications
- Assist with diagnostic tests
- Aid in emergency procedures
- Ensure patient comfort
- Communicate with pet owners
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Document patient care
- Engage in ongoing education and training
Compensation Range for this role is based on location, skill, and education
RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 with $8,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees
SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 with $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees
SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 with $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees
Work Schedule:
- Various shifts available- days, swings, overnights. $5 differential for overnight shifts
- Full-Time
- 4/10 schedule
Basic Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
- CA RVT license preferred but not required
