LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN - Full Time/ Overnights

This role pays between $25 – 28/ hour.

ABOUT THE JOB:  As a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the Emergency and Critical Care department you will be responsible for:

• Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit
• Partnering with DVM’s in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
• Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
• Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment.
• Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events

SHIFT, HOURS, & COMPENSATION:

• Our technicians typically work 3, 12 hour shifts per week. However, we try to be flexible and accommodate the needs of our staff.
• We ask that you are available one overnight shift per week.
• Compensation is based on skills and experience.

ABOUT YOU:

• Must be licensed in the state of New York. New Graduates are welcome to apply.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to develop and foster long term positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community. 
• Work well independently and in a team environment where colleagues lead by example and hold themselves accountable for quality medicine and customer service.
• Strong computer skills to work with a paperless information system.
• Flexible, cooperative, dependable, responsible, and good time-management skills to work in a fast-paced environment where you can utilize high level skills and be an integral part of the medical team.

Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
