Procurement Specialist

Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking full-time Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing team.

About the Job: As the Procurement Specialist in the Purchasing department you will be responsible for: 

  • Organize and establish inventory control throughout facility
  • Place orders with vendors for regularly stocked items
  • Help with receiving, counting and storing of incoming orders
  • Ensure the transactions are accurate and reconcile any inventory discrepancies
  • Monitor stock levels and notify Regional Supply Chain Manager of any irregularities
  • Process purchase order entry and receipts into Inventory System of Record
  • Organizing monthly cycle counting, entering monthly cycle counts, participating in and completion of (semi) annual physical inventory counts
  • Will be responsible for processing inventory adjustments for white goods work flows
  • Running weekly and monthly reports to make sure the staff is properly using the Cubex system
  • Maintain safe and clean facility environment

About You:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Must have the ability to physically move materials weighing up to 60 pounds on a regular basis and the ability to move larger, heavier items on occasion and have good knowledge of excel.
  • Minimum of three years prior procurement/ inventory experience required, veterinary or hospital experience preferred.
